As I posted on Facebook:
It's fascinating how much hate Congressman Thomas Massie has gotten for asking the Congress to actually do their job and vote on this stimulus bill full of pet projects and corporate welfare. Makes you wonder why these things are almost always bundled together. Why not vote on the cash payments to Americans right away? (It would make for a one-page bill.) Then do small business loans and relief, then government offices/pet projects and then corporate bailouts. I guess it's a lot easier to slide in the garbage everyone hates when you put it together with cash payments to the unemployed. We should demand they be done separately though, thus if nothing else, it's good Massie is making this uncomfortable for everyone in Congress.
